Solid Food Hard To Eat, Weakness, Nauseated. Gastric Sleeve Done. What Is The Reason?
had gastric sleeve done four and a half months ago. every time I try to eat something solid I feel like I could literally die. doesn't make me feel this way if I eat something soft. my dr and nurse say I should be able to eat anything . I feel really weak and nausea like really bad and im going to pass out or something. just a really bad feeling. checked blood pressure and blood sugar--- both ok. I just take like three bites and the feeling comes over me
Hi, Gastric sleeve surgery is a simple surgery with complex actions, the patient will have a feeling that he has limited space in the stomach, the stomach it self take time to be accomodated for normal diet. The vagus nerve is habbituated for normal diet so the stimulations will be of the whole stomach. These are not universal facts but can happen with some people. I advise you to have 1/4 th of solid food and 3/4 th of soft food, in combination for few days. Practice diversion procedures like yoga, meditation, reading books of your interest , and hearing music, view T.V. while eating food. thank you.
