Small Lump Under Skin That Appears Bluish. What Is This ?
I have only just noticed the small lump under my skin. I may have knocked it while working as a checkout operator. It is not painful, or discoloured, although when stretching the outer skin over it, underneath appears blueish. I used to do a lot of sunbaking back in the 70's but have minimal; sun exposure anymore. have also had my carpal tunnels done.
I am so sorry to hear about this bluish lump. From the description you have provided, this most likely reprsesennt a bleed into the subcutaneous tissues. When blood gets out of the vessels, it normally presents in different colours like black, blue, etc. The most common cause is trauama. At times it may be so minimal that we never even realised it. I will advice you just to sit and watch what becomes of it. It should slowly get absorbed over days to weeks withouut any medical intervention.
