Skin Eruptions. Taking Cybalta. Treatment For Side Effect?

skin eruptions, mostly on face. start looking like acne, break kike chicken pocks. don't heal, continue to crust. bleed and peal in a line form. my daughter and I suffer from this after months of being treated with cybalta, which has been very helpful for our sx, including pain. she still takes 60 mg/day. I decreased to 30mg. Our dr. has no answer and treatments not helping for this obvious side effect. EM YYYY@YYYY

Hi, Thanks for using HCM.

Cymbalta is Duloxetine and has many uses. Skin rashes as described by you may be due to any other cause since Duloxetine does not cause rashes as explained. Chances of skin involvement in SJ syndrome is there but in initial days of use. Since eruptions are only in face, and blisters like kindly get examined by your dermatologist once to diagnose. This may be drug induced, herpes(peal in line form), chicken pox or pempigus or only acne. Only with examination we can diagnose. Consult your doctor for examination and management.
Hope I answered your question. Feel free to ask me if you have any further queries.
Wish you good health. Take care.
