Should We See A Doctor For Ear Pain After Swimming When On Ibuprofen?

Nine yr.old grandson has pain in left ear. Went swimming in lake and pool over last several days. In pain. Have given him ibuprofen over last 22 hours and second dose of swimming ears. at this point should we be seeking other help. YYYY@YYYY
