Should Intake Of Lactulose Stopped After Starting Noticable Contractions During Pregnancy?

I am 33weeks +2days and haven't been opening my bowels very often, in last 2 weeks i have been at most 4 times and that is with the help of 15ml of lactulos twice a day i have now upoed the dose 2 help ne go more 2 20m twice l a day but i have been gettin small but very noticeable contractions should i stop taking the lactulose?? And should i worry??

I am so sorry to hear about this constipation, Lactulose cannot cause ueterine contractions. This contractions are in no way related t the increased dose pof lactulose. In addition to taking drugs for constipation, increased fruits, fluids, fiber and exercise can help with constipation.

If these contractions should persist, please seek medical consultation for this. There is no point in stopping lactuose because it is not the cause of these contractions.
