Should I Take Amoxicillin For Green And Yellow Discharge From Nose And Pain In Eye Sockets?
I have green and yellow discharge from my nose and pain around my eye sockets for about 5 days now? I have been using saline and nasonex spray with no improvment. Now my doctor has prescribed amoxicillin (500mg.). I read on line that it is ineffective for this kind of infection? Should I take it?

You seem to be having a sinus infection and will need antibiotics for resolving it .Although amoxicillin is not a the first line of drug for this infection, but amoxicillin does work in many cases and i think you should continue with it.
Please continue your drops also and take steam inhalation 3-4 times a day.

Hi, u amoxicillin is effective but not plain amox.
U have to take with clavulunic acid.
Medicine is tab Augmentin duo 625 mg bd fof 5 to 7 dayz.
Also take decongestants, do stdm inhalation.continue saline drops.
Also take antihistamines along with these medicines.
