Should I Be Worried Of The Sharp Pain On Left Side Of Breast Which Worsens After Coughing Or Lying Down?
Hi, ive had sharp pain on the left side of my left breast through to my back for the last 2 weeks and today it has gotten worst to a point where i dont want to cough, sneeze or lie down on my back. what is causing this? should i be worried? please help....
If you are running a temp, see a clinician immediately as it may be an infection of a breast duct, mastitis. Antibiotics and pain meds, local heat will usually resolve that problem. Infection is usually associated with pain, swelling, redness, and fever. If those symptoms are not present, the next most likely diagnosis is a benign breast cyst. It should resolve with the onset of your regular menstrual cycle. Tylenol, or Motrin or Motrin like meds may help,as will a supportive bra or halter. It sounds painful, but very treatable.
