Should I Be Concerned About A Cyst In My Liver With A Septation And Polyp On The Posterior Gallbladder Wall?

I had an abdominal U/S due to abdominal discomfort. I have a history of an enlarged gallbladder. The U/S states I have a 13 mm cyst in the left lobe of my liver with a fine septation and a 4 mm polyp on the posterior gallbladder wall with a mildly enlarged spleen to 14 cm. should I be concerned?

Hello I hope you are well. You must know that what you presented in your abdominal ultrasound is a finding and has no relation. The characteristics of the hepatic cyst refer to a complex one, however it does not at present present criteria for emergency management; > 10 cm, which is underlying the hemidiaphragm, which are multiple, or even intense abdominal pain. The risk of progression to malignancy is very low, however, it requires an ultrasound ultrasound monitoring every 6 to 12 months to evaluate the characteristics of the lesion.

The characteristics of the polyp that you present in the gallbladder merit a follow up with ultrasound every 6 to 12 months since it measures 2cm.
