Should I Take Glynase MF If My Glucose Level Goes Down?

hi doc, am 54 year old south indian and i was taking Glycomet Sr (500 Mg) twice in a day at that time my glucose level was more than normal level but now i started taking Glynase MF twice in a day now my glucose level is lower than the normal level. . . and it keeps on going to very lower level if i dont take lunch earlier... can i continue with glynase MF??

Firstly, did you switch over to Glynase MF on your own or, was prescribed by your doctor?

You have not mentioned your fasting and post-prandial blood sugar values. So, it would be difficult for me to advise the appropriate treatment.

All anti-diabetic drugs have their own time at which their action is at its peak. Hence, meals should be taken at the same time as routine. Delay in a meal may lead to lowering of blood sugar.

It is therefore advised that you stop Glynase MF; consult your doctor to prescribe more appropriate drug(s) so as to ensure that your sugar levels remain under control 24 hours a day and, at the same time, prevent sugar levels to go down dangerously.
