Should I Go To The ER For Severe Pain From A Cut When Suffering From Hernia?

I have a hernia already. My Dr said it was small and not to worry but this past Tuesday I was pulling on some very heavy logs recently cut in my yard and suddenly felt alot of pain. It was on the scale of 9.2 pain the night before and I almost went to the er. Since, it has subsided some. Should I still go to the ER?I am 62 yr old widow on disability. Have had many surgeries since 1975.I have had gas, nausuea, and stomach and back pain. This happened this past Tuesday.

Hello,
Welcome to healthcare magic.
A hernia, even though small, can sometimes undergo torsion or get twisted especially after lifting heavy weights. So if the pain is severe and persisting, yes it is better to go to the ER.
Hope this helps you.
Take care.
