Should I Be Concerned If My Toddler Has Taken 1 Or 2 200 Mg Ibuprofen Tablets?
My toddler possibly consumed one or two 200 mg ibuprofen tablets this afternoon. I found traces of it in hisoutj and pulled it out. Because I got what I am pretty sure was all of it and he has acted completely normal the past six hours, I think he us ok. Should I still be concerned or take him in? He is 22 months and weighs between 26-30 lbs.

400mg ibuprofen is a massive dose for a toddler of 22 months.It's good that you have noted it in time & removed it. You are sure that most of it has been removed.Baby is also normal after 6 hours of consumption.That suggests minimal ingestion of the drug.Possibly there won't be any adverse effect.
Still you have to be careful & watchful.
- offer a bland diet to the baby. cold milk would be best.start with antacid syrup 1/3rd spoon thrice a day as preventive major.

- observe for signs of hyper acidity- Viz.- anorexia/vomiting( some times slight blood may appear in vomit.) , denial to eat,pain in upper abdomen may
make baby uncomfortable/irritable, black colored stool tomorrow.
If you note/doubt any of these,you have to take the baby to her doctor.
