Should I Be Concerned For Blood Coming Out Of T-tube In Ear?

Hi! I just got on a second round of antibiotics, and I have a T-tube in my ear. Have/had fluid behind eardrum for several weeks, but today, I plugged my nose and blew gently-and heard fluid coming out of tube. Using q-tip, I found blood coming out...kind of a lot...doesn't hurt, though. Should I be worried, or is this just a normal part of infection clearing up?
By the way, I'm a 38 year old woman (with a tube in her ear!).

Hello and welcome to health care magic,

You must understand that a little amount of blood from the tube especially when you do have a history of forceful nose blowing is normal.

In any case do not worry and make sure that you complete the course of antibiotics and other medications as advised by your doctor.

Also do not allow any water to enter the ear and keep the ear dry and clean
Do not blow your nose forcefully and do not put any drops in the ear

If the bleeding persists then you must consult an ENT doctor as soon as possible

regards
