My daughter had a myringotomy and adenoidectomy on October 13, 2010. Post-op, there was very minimal bleeding for the first two days. It has been close to a month now, and this morning my daughter woke up with blood all over her pillow, sheets, and clothes. I took her to see the ENT who informed me that it is nothing. However, all of my pamphlets and paperwork are telling me that bleeding perfusly after the first week is rare and relates that there could be infection or complications. My question is what should I do? And is this normal? I should inform you that she is 3 years old and the blood is now a huge clot. I can t even get ear drops into the ear canal. I worry about an infection and the ENT did not perscribe any atibiotics other than the ear drops.
