Short Periods Cycle, Unprotected Sex, Vaginal Bleeding. Hormonal Or Stress Related?

I am 38 years old and had a short period (for me, it only lasted 3 or 4 days instead of the usual 7) about a week ago, I had sex for the first time in a long time 3 days ago and had post coital bleeding , which stopped fairly quickly. Then last night I started bleeding again as though I have my period again. Should I be concerned? Or is this hormonal and stress related?

Hi,
you had your period which lasted foe 3 to 4 days (instead of usual 7 days) a week ago.
You had coitus 4 days after your period, because of which you had bleeding also.
So far every thing is fine. You have bleeding once again 7 days later to the previous period.
Usually at this age bleeding in between the menstrual cycle is called Dis functional Uterine Bleeding (DUB).Abdominal scan, relevant blood investigation.a smear or Biopsy as per Gynecologist opinion is advised
