Shingles under the arm pit, redness over arms, sides of chest to shoulder with pain. On herpes medicines. Is it related to shingles?

I have had shingles under my right armpit for 3 weeks now. Only a few spots, but the pain has been excruciating. Now a redness is circling my arm at the side of my chest sort of up onto my shoulder . I started my 2nd round of herpes meds today. I now have horrible pain in my ribs, spine and neck. Is that shingles related?
