Sharp Pain In Left Temple, Turning Into A Migraine, Imbalance, Dizziness. Medical Attention Required?
Over a week ago I had a very sharp pain in my left temple. Later that evening it turned in to a migraine . I get those once every couple of months. This time it was different than usual. I felt off balance and dizzy. And I have has a headache , mostly pressure in my left temple, since the migraine. Sometimes I literally have to stop and hold ice to my head. This has never happened before and it won t go away. Should I keep trying to ignore it or do you suggest I get it checked out. I hate going to a doctor if its nothing serious.
Migraine headaches can be triggered by some factors like :-
1. Lack of sleep.
2. Missed meal.
3. Emotional or physical stress.
4. Cigarette/Alcohol.
5. Mensturation cycle in females.
6. Dairy products.
7. Foods containing MSG.
You can observe which factors are trigering your attack and try to prevent them.
For mild attacks, you can take paracetamol along with domperidone 10 mg. If pain is severe, you can take ibuprofen after meals.
If the pain persists, you should consult a neurophysician for medical examination and treatment of prevention of migraine by flunarizine 10 mg at night.
I hope this is helpful to you.
Thanks.
