Sharp Pain Behind Right Knee, Soft Lump Under Skin, Purple Discoloration. Causes And Cure?

Walked into the kitchen and I had a sharp pain just below my right knee on the back. At first it was sharp and within seconds it felt like I had about an inch of a pencil under the skin. With time the pencil has disapated but now theres a quarter sized soft lump under the skin it turned purple and isnt sharp pain anymore but a more annoying pain.

Hi
Thanks for your query
As per discussion you shold have becker`s cyst in your knee joint
Baker’s cyst is a swelling on the back of the knee caused by accumulation of fluid inside sacs called bursae between the two heads of the gastrocnemius (calf muscle).
The symptoms are mild unless the cyst bursts or extends down into the calf muscles.
Common causes of Baker’s cyst include arthritis, infection, torn knee cartilage and other knee injuries. Baker’s cyst is also known as a popliteal cyst.
Baker’s cysts don’t always require active treatment and sometimes will only require observation over time by the treating doctor
Treatment for the underlying cause,
Temporarily avoiding activities that aggravate the knee joint
Physiotherapy involving ice packs
Cortisone injections
Inserting a needle into the cyst and draining off the fluid
In severe cases, surgery to remove the cyst entirely
Take care
