Hi,
From history it seems that you might be having external ear infection giving rise to this problem.
Go for having one course of antibiotic like amoxicilin for 3 days.
Continue with Ibuprofen 2-3 times a day.
Ok and take care.

ENT Specialist Dr. Vaishali Mehta's  Response
Hello,

Welcome to HCM. Sorry to hear that you are in pain. The history you give goes in favour of a boil in the ear canal. The ear canal has hair follicles, and it is not uncommon for one of them to get infected, resulting in a boil. It is an extremely painful condition.

I would advise you to take an antibiotic combination of amoxicillin with cloxacillin for 5 days.
Continue ibuprofen twice daily.
Do not touch/ meddle the ear. Do not insert ear buds.
You can give hot fomentation to the outer part of ear. It will give some pain relief.

Hopefully, you will feel better with the above measures. Do let me know if you have further questions.

Take care,
Dr Vaishali Mehta
