Severe Pain In Foot, Minimal Swelling, Difficulty In Walking. Foot Got Hit. Remedy?

Hi hit my foot on a board teo days ago and have had very severe pain in my foot . There is minimal swelling and no bruising but the pain is constant. Nothing seems to help. I ve tried ice, heat, advil , alleve, motrin. It hurts to walk and the pain goes from my toes all the way to the bottom half of my calf . It is especially bad on the outer most side bone of my left foot, the arch and around the achilles tendon . I have no health insurance and have not been able to have it seen and the pain is getting worse wi

Hi, Thanks for using HCM.

Hit your foot on board and severe pain now. There is minimal swelling. If only pain then this may be due to local tissue injury and its response, since swelling is also there, the chances of bone fracture or muscle sprain is present. There is raised prostaglandins that will cause pain and the pain is radiating. Now you restrict your movements, apply local analgesic spray and can take NSAID(aceclofenac) with serratiopeptidase for pain and swelling. Give warm compression and take plenty of fluids. Consult your doctor for further examination and management. You may need one xray to rule out any fracture.
