Severe Left Sided Pain When Bladder Is Full, Feel Muscle Spasms Post Voiding. History Or Hysterectomy. Cause?

I have been experiencing severe pain on my left side in the morning when my bladder is full. For the next 20-30 minutes after voiding, I have what feels like muscle spasms in my side. Throughout the day, I urinate at least twice per hour, and I feel a lot of abdominal pressure, lower back pain and vaginal pressure. I had a total hysterectomy 12 years ago.

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
The possible causes for your problem are :
- Urinary tract infection, that can present with pain abdomen and increased frequency of urination.
- Obstruction in the urinary tract, like renal stones.
- Structural causes like cystocele.
So, you once consult gynecologist and get examined.
If she suggests go for:
-Urine microscopy, culture and sensitivity and
-Ultrasound abdomen and pelvis.
By these, the possible cause for your problem can be identified and treated.
Infection and small stones can be treated with medical treatment.
Larger stones and cystocele may need surgical procedures.
