Severe Coughing, Metallic Mouth Taste, Mucus From White, Green And Oraange. Is It Chronic Bronchitis?
Severe coughing, cannot lay down due to it. And a mettallic taste/smell in my mouth and nose . Mucus I couhg up is anywhere from white, bright green or even orange at times. 3 time Iraq war vet, been to the local VA many times and always they tell me its chronic bronchitis . I am not buying that at this point, any ideas on what might be wrong?

It is very likely the diagnosis is right.
Generally X-ray chest and at times of para nasal sinuses / followed by Spirometry (lung function test) are done at some stage. A battery of tests to evaluate allergy is done at times.
Causes like tuberculosis and cancer must have caused other serious problems to draw attention. That one is generally well otherwise and the long duration - goes with the diagnosis of Chronic Bronchitis or Asthma..
