sir, i am 25 years old, married and in planning to have a baby with my wife. i have done my semen analysis. The report shows: volume 6.5 mLs
colour white grey
pH 8.0
liquefaction 50 minutes
viscosity 1 cm
concentrate 7.1 10^6/mL
count 46 10.6^/mL
motility progressive 63%
nonprogressive 13%
immotile 24%
aglutination none
leukosit 0.24 10^6/mL
viability none
morfology normal 2%
abnormal 98%.
The final impressed said oligoterato-zoospermia. i have consulted to urologist & he gave me provula & proviron tab to be consumed for 3 months. i have stopped smoking for almost a year,don't consume alcohol & caffein. is it cureable? since i'm in planning to have a baby,so kindly suggest if there any further test to be done. Thank you
Hi, Thanks and welcome to HCM. Minimum 50% motile sperm should be sufficient . but there are 98% abnormal forms present. It is better to find the reason for the abnormal forms. Have you ever been affected by mumps in your younger age. this may lead to sterility. A testicular biopsy may some times help to find out the cause.
