Running Nose, Blocked Ears, Fullness In Chest, Tiredness, Sleeping Difficulty, No Improvement, Partner With Same Symptoms. Advise?
Hi my nose won t stop running, my ears are blocked, have a weasy chest that feels full of something and now and again I manage to cough up some horrible stuff, feel tired and can t sleep at nights due to this. Had it for about 5 days and my partner has the same and she has had it 11 days now. Neither of us are improving
I would suggest you take a tablet of cetirizine once a day for 5 days. It might help relieve symptoms of runny nose and blocked ears. Steam inhalation 4- 5 times a day might help you tremendously. Have only warm fluids to drink; be it warm water, milk, green tea etc.
I would also advise both of you to visit a physician if do not find any symptomatic relief in 2 days. You might require antibiotics if you have persistent cough, greenish/blood stained phlegm, fever etc.
Hope this helps.

Dr. Divya Kuttikrishnan
