Red Mole On Lip, Causes Discomfort. Blood Clot? Can It Be Removed By The Family Doctor?

What is this red mole on my lip? I have had it for years & it bothers me everyday to look at it in the mirror! :( Could it be a blood clot? Could I have it removed by my family doctor or a dermatologist? I am trying my best to research all of my questions but I would rather ask a Dr. online then read some of the other websites & freak myself out... ha Until next time, Hannah

Hi thanks for your question
The usual swellings, what you call as mole on lips are either paplioma or haemingoma or it can be a wart
To differentiate between the two you need examination by a physician.
If the swelling what you call as mole,is papiloma or wart , family doctor can remove it ,but if the swelling is haemingoma, you need to get it removed by a general surgeon.
Hope this answer your question
