Recurrent UTI's, Bumps In Perineum, Vagina Swollen, Finished Cipro. What Should I Do ?

I was given Cipro for a UTI. I have been getting them 1-3 times yearly but this one is by far the worst I've ever had. I went to the hospital last Saturday because I could not urinate at all. What did come out prior to my ER visit I called my local pharmacy and picked up Gyno-Lotrimin. The last time I had an UTI I was given the cream and Nitro-furmac. I was under the impression that I might had a UTI and yeast infection at the same time again. I also used Azo UTI pain relief. Got to work only lasted 1 hour before I rushed to the hospital in pain. The doctor gave me Cipro and Phenazopyridine. I also started the vaginal cream too. About 2 days later I noticed 3 bumps on my vaginal lip. I thought it was irritation from my urine possibly splaying onto my skin. The pharmacist told me I could decrease or stop the Phenazopyridine if I don't really need it. I thought that may have been the issue being as though I never used it before. After 2 days off the Phenazopyridine I noticed the bumps have gotten worse and traveled to my perineum. The skin is irritated to touch and my vagina is swollen almost shut. The cream did not help at all. I was putting Neosporin on the bumps because I though they where from irritation from my pad. I finished the Cipro yesterday and I have not felt any changes for the better the skin is still irritated and swollen. The pharmicist said try not to put anything on the skin possibly cool compresses and let the skin air out as best as I can. I have an appointment with a new GY on Thursday and I'm trying to just hang in there but it's really painful and uncomfortable. I am sexually active and I have had an STD before. I just would like to know if I am having a reaction to Cipro. It has helped me to urinate normally but the bumps are worsening. What should I do until Thursday ? How can I prevent this from hapening again ?

Hi there looks like you are in real trouble.first of all have you visited a gynaecologist ? Did you do a urine routine and culture?I suggest first meet a doc first and get yourself examined .meanwhile it is difficult to tell anything about STD till you are seen what you can do is sit in lukewarm water with a spoon of salt in it .this will relieve your pain for sometime. Get your urine report and see that you take the treatment till the infection has cleared .
Goodluck and take good care of yourself!
