Pulmonologist 's  Response
Thanks for your question on HCM.
I can understand your situation and problem.
Fleshy looking thing can be
1. Blood clot
2. Thick mucus
So better to consult pulmonologist and get done
1. Repeat chest x ray
2. Sputum microscopic examination.
Repeat chest x ray is needed to see whether his pneumonia has recovered or not.
Sputum examination is needed to rule out blood and infection.
So better to get done above reports and start appropriate treatment.
