Recently Quit Smoking, Swollen Glands, Feeling Of Obstruction In Throat, Weight Gain, Mood Swings

I recently gave up smoking after having the habit for 23 years,and i'm on day 68 where i've not smoked at all.But since this i've had nothing but infections and have been quite ill, my glands are permanently swollen and i feel like i've something stuck in my throat but can never cough up.My weight has gone up and i feel really aggitated and moody.I was wondering how long will this be going on for?

The symptoms of nicotine withdrawal can last 8 to 12 weeks in some persons. You have already passed week 9 so there should be a reduction in some of them soon.

You may want to consider the use of the replacement therapies, they are used to reduce the withdrawal symptoms. These nicotine replacement can come in the form of patches, sprays, oral medication, gum, inhalors , lozenges.
You may want to speak to your doctor about the different methods.
