Reason For Recurrence Of Red, Painful Boils On Inner Thigh?

Hi - I have developed small boils (like pimples) on the inner upper thigh on both sides - reddish in color, with small white head, painful. When I applied T-bact, they disappeared, but have come back again in 15-20 days. Can you pls advise the possible reason and treatment. Thanks

Hello,
Welcome to healthcare magic.
You seem to have developed folliculitis, which is an infection of the hair follicles.
It is common in hairy areas like the thighs and in hot, humid weather conditions.
If they have recurred even after applying a topical antibiotic like T. Bact, you could benefit from taking a course of oral antibiotic like Cloxacillin or Cephalexin for 5 days. You could continue to apply T. Bact for 5-1 0 days.
If they recur even after an oral antibiotic, you could meet a dermatologist who will take a pus swab for culture and sensitivity testing to identify the organism.
Have a healthy diet rich in vitamin C.
Hope this helps you.
Take care.
