Acne and its management

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for being at Healthcaremagic
I have reviewed the attached photographs and you seem to be having acne vulgaris.
If I was your treating doctor I would recommend you to take capsule doxycycline 100 mg once daily at bedtime and apply gel containing combination of benzoyl peroxide and adapelene on the lesions at bedtime for 1 hour and gradually increase the contact time to 2 hours, 3 hours and then overnight.
These are prescription drugs and you need to see the doctor in person to get them.
Besides this avoid oiling of scalp, intake of sugary foods, scrubbing, use of cosmetics and make up.

. Firstly, I m a 46 yr. old female whose been under an extreme amount of stress lately and having some trouble sleeping the entire night, often waking in a sweat. I’m having hunger pains more often than usually lately and a sweet tooth I can’t seem to curb. I then become very lethargic after I eat no matter the amount of food, i.e. full meal or snack, and most of the time I have to take a nap or I find myself nodding off at work. I ve been also experiencing breakouts of acne about twice a month. I have a history of a hyperthyroid and my family has a history of diabetes, but my blood sugar seems to test normal. Could this be the onset of menopause or possibly Type II Diabetes?

I’m currently taking Alesse (my birth control pill) and have some problems with acne and my dermatologist prescribed me Oracea (Antibiotic) and now I’m concerned I’ll get pregnant since the pills could interact negatively. My husband and I only use the pill as contraception. What is your opinion?
