Reason For Hip And Leg Pain. Disk Pressing On Nerve And Type 2 Diabetic With Toe Nail Coming Off
mri shows I have disk pressing on l2 nerve, lot of pain right hipand down right leg. I have type 2 dibettes toe nails coming off right foot.not much feeling in foot eather, is L2 nerve causing this or dibettes.have doctors appointment next month I am conserned about my condition. I am 68yrs old man.

Nerve root compression in the lumbar spinecausing pain in the leg can be treated by a number of methods. firstly medication and waiting. Many 1st time disc prolapses will improve spontaneously. CT guided nerve root injection with local anaesthetic and steroid. Surgical decompression of the nerve root.
Your toe nails will no be coming off because of your diabetes directly. The commonest cause for this problem is usually a fungal infection in the nail which can be treated with anti fungal medication.
