Rash On Face Due To Injury. Sharp Tingling Pain In Palms. Reason And Treatment?

My husband had a bad injury from playing soccer in the driveway, he fell to the ground facing down and got road rash on his face. What bothers him most is this sharp tinkling pain, which started with pain in both his arms and hands, now the pain is mostly in his palms. The pain is sharp and hurts a lot if you touch the palm area. what could be the problem and how to treat it?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Your husband needs a basic first aid with fresh water and soap cleansing. He needs pain killers like Ibuprofen and some muscle relaxants as well. They require doctor' prescription.

Since he had fallen on the drive way the chance of infection is much lesser than on a free way or public road.

However it is good a Tetanus vaccine, Antibiotic dose and pain killer course for next three days.
