Random At The Laproscopic Inguinal Hernia Surgery Area After A Long Time

Hello Doctor, I had a laproscopic inguinal hernia surgery 5months back. It was all successfully completed. I could get back to normal routine in just 3 weeks. And now a week back i started feeling little pain randomly sometimes at that operated part. I am worried of it as it is really irritating me. These days i am even gaining few kgs. Please guide whether the weight gain is one of the reason for that pain and how it needs to be cured perfectly. Thanks and Regards Ahmed

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi. Development of a pain after 5 months of surgery can be due to entrapment if a nerve in the scar tissue or recurrence of a hernia. I would suggest you to go for high resolution sonography and a clinical examination by your operating surgeon. Wight gain may not be the reason for this.
