hi,m 21 yrs old and my weight is around 50 kgs,height is 5.3".i have passed the date of my periods by 9 days and have been detected positive pregnancy by a home test.i want to terminate this pregnancy as i cannot continue with it.plz tell me the complete procedure.thank u

If you do not wish to continue the pregnancy, the only option is abortion. At this early gestational age you can take medicines to abort. Medicines can be used to abort baby for up to 9 weeks of pregnancy.
For this first you should consult family physician /Gynecologist. Before the treatment it is important to have examination by her to make sure that the pregnancy is in the uterus and you do not have contraindications for the medications.
In Medical abortion there are two types of medicines ( anti progesterone and prostaglandin) used for abortion. Medical abortion is about 95% effective. Most women ( 80%) abort within 24 hours of taking the second pill. Some take little longer. After aborting the pregnancy you may have light bleeding for two weeks. Get an ultrasound done after two weeks to make sure that the abortion process is complete.
If you have heavy bleeding (soaks 2pads/hour for more than two hours) or if the bleeding persists even after 2 weeks you must see the doctor.
To avoid such unnecessary stress I advise you to consult your doctor and start regular contraception like hormonal contraception or have an intrauterine device fitted as they are very effective in preventing pregnancy.
