Prescribed Cymbalta. Still Have Few Bottles That Are Expired. As They Are Sealed Can I Still Use Them?

Hello,
I was prescribed cymbalta a few years ago, and used it for about six month, I was given several sample bottles that are still sealed, but expired 1 year ago. I was recently put back on it , and am wondering since these bottles are still sealed if I could use them rather than going to buy more ?
Thank You,
Mike

Hi Mike, Thanks for using HCM.

Don't use those expired bottles. You can discard it or return to the pharmacist and buy new one for use. The expired drug can be ineffective or due to reaction it may be toxic also. So buy new one for use. Consult your doctor for management once since you are using drug after 1 year..
Hope I answered your question. Feel free to ask me if you have any further queries.
Wish you good health. Take care.

Regards
Dr. Lohit
