Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hi, thanks for writing to HCM.

If your shooting pain all along you leg is not resolving with medications, an Epidural steroid injection will be much helpful which will provide significant pain relief for atleast a few months. Even if this fails to improve your condition, then you may need a surgical decompression of the discs.

your pain in the hip joint with a clicking noise could be due to a soft tissue problem. An MRI scan is needed to establish the exact cause.

I suggest you to consult an orthopedic surgeon for further evaluation and management.

Hope this information is helpful. Good day

Radiologist Dr. Eric Norman Brua's  Response
Heloo there,

The pain in your right hip is not related to the disc bulge. it is a joint pain. Lyrica is good only for neuropathic (nerve) pains, so it has little or no effect on this hip pain.
Pain killers could help, however, an ideal weight is the best solution to ease the burden on your hip joints.
To check the condition of the hip joint itself, you may do an mri or a ct scan in this area.
Thank you,
Dr. Eric
