Prescribed Amoxicillin for acute pharyngitis. Wondering if Methoprednisolone will help

I have been to two doctors and one diagnosed me with acute pharyngitis and another doctor diagnosed me with angina or something. It was for my throat and it s been so painful I haven t been able to eat for a while. I was prescribed amoxicilan for the acute pharyngitis and I was wondering if taking methoprednesolon would help.
