Pregnant With Low Thyroid Levels And Anemia. Worried About Miscarriage And Preterm Labor
I am a 40 year old women and having my 4rth child. I am 11 weeks pregnant. My husband is 43. I was just told today that my thyroid levels are a bit low. I am also anemic. I knew about the anemia as I have had this all of my life but I have never had any other issues with health or during pregnancies. My Ob says that I should not worry and that they will retest at a later date. I have to tell you though that I have been reading online and I am so scared! I am really scared about miscarriage, preterm labor etc. Can you please educate me on this and kind of talk me through this? Thank you! Angel
Hello Angel, Thanks for your query. Yours is a very high risk pregnancy. First your age factor , hypothyroidism and anaemia. Your pregnancy outcome will depend on how well you control your thyroid problem, You are more prone to develop diabetes and hypertension as well. Sorry to scare you, but you should be prepared to face these consequences if arises.
