Pregnant. Tvs Ultrasound Test Done, Embryo Nor Seen. Advised For Abortion. What To Do?

my last lmp date was on 13 march 2013.i did a tvs ultrasound on 8th may.my msd is 25mm and there is a yolk sac visible.The gestational sac age shows 6weeks 5 days on 8th may.But there is no embroyo seen.My doctor advised me to go for a abortion as she thinks the baby is not growing.I am very upset is there any hope for me.report says i have a blighted ovum

Thanks for your query.
On the 8th of may, you should have been 8 weeks by ultrasound.
A definite embryo with a fetal pole should have been seen, else the pregnancy is categorized as a missed abortion or a non viable pregnancy.
the only exception is if you had delayed periods, and the pregnancy will grow normally, but late.
However at a gestational sac size of 6 weeks 5 days, there should definitely be an embryo seen.
