Please Suggest Treatment For Follicular Tonsillitis
HII Doctor,iam asking about acase 32 years old man now getting follicular tonsilitis with poor response to treatment,when we did general investigation,his SGOT was 153 and Alanin Amino Transferase was 259 and Gamma GT was 206.he recieved crystaline pencillin and ceftriaxon injection and paracetamol tablet and injectionfor his tonsilitis.how you advise us ?whatis the differential diagnosis? note; he has history of itching of 2 years duration otherwise no any medical problem

Hello,
Use salt water gargling thrice a day for five days. Use water vapour inhalation thrice a day for five days.
Use tablet amoxicillin and clavulinic acid 625 mg twice a day for five days. Avoid cool drinks and ice creams. if symptoms not improved then get it done throat swab culture and sensitivity.
Please consult with your ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
