Planning For Baby. Ultrasound Showed Tilted Uterus. Suggested To Have Hysterosalpingogram. Fibroids?

Hi I am a female of 30 yrs and myself and my husband are trying to conceive for the past 1year.
Recently in the month of February, my OBGYN asked me to get an ultrasound. The results were normal however, the person who performed the procedure told me that she could not locate the right ovary and also that my uterus was slightly tilted.
This month ie August my OBGYN asked me to get a Hysterosalpingogram. The results were normal. My tubes were not blocked but the Dr had to put slight pressure on the right side to release the tubes. He told me that I might have fibroids.
But now when I spoke to the nurse, they are asking me to re do the pelvic ultrasound because the Dr could not be sure if there were Fibroids or Water Bubbles.

What can you derive from these tests and what is the solution?
Will I be able to get pregnant having all this?

Hi,
Thanks for writing in to us.

Speaking about your ultrasound scan, non visualisation of an ovary may be because of the gas present in lower abdomen. If is not that the ovary is absent but the doctor/ ultrasonologist could not satisfactorily visualise the right ovary. This is nothing to get worried about.

Coming to the Hysterosalpingogram, the fact that there was spill on both sides shows that tubes are normal. The bubbles can be due to unavoidable air/ water bubbles entering the cavity of uterus or because of the tilt of the uterus. It is not due to any fibroids if there are no fibroids in your earlier ultrasound scan report.

You may discuss the ultrasound report with your obgyn and they will ask you to repeat the scan only if felt necessary. You may go in for a transvaginal ultrasound scan for better visualisation.

Hope this helps
