Patch On Areola, Itchy, Breast Ultra Sound And A Breast Cytology Reports Normal
I have a small patch on my areola of the left breast for the last 1 month which is itchy. I have undergone a breast ultra sound and a breast cytology and both of which are normal. I was given a hydrocortisone creame by the doctor. Do I have any reason to be still worried? I am 36 years old with 2 children and hv breast fed both the children for about a year.
Hi, From history it seems that you might be having dermatitis or fungal infection on the part. Apply triple acting cream locally. Keep nipple and areola clean and dry. Avoid wearing synthetic bra. Take Cetrizine or Benadryl for itching. Ok and take care.
