Painful And Pumping Veins In Forehead, Pain In Right Side, Dizziness, Lightheaded, Under Stress

Hi doctors,
Since last week I have painful and annoying pumping vains on my both sides of my forehead . I feel strong pressure especially on the left side. On my right side it's pain and also tingling on upper cheek under the right eye. Knowing that I'm going through huge stress, pressure and sadness these days!!
Last April I experienced very bad and strong pain on the right side , it lasts for about three days. My freind told me it may be a migraine !?
Also sometimes I feel that the blood is not moving smoothly !!
Really I'm confused. I'm afraid that there is something wrong in my brain because also there is a feeling of lightheaded and dizziness.
Please advise
Thank you very much

Psychiatrist 's  Response
welcome to HCM!

I have read your query and from my clinical experince I can say that they do look like migraneous headaches and now getting severe.

I have seen such cases respond greatly to tricyclics antidepressants along with propanolol and some antacids for some weeks. Tnese medicines will to only help these headaches but also the depressive and anxiety symptoms as well!

You should see what are your trigring factors, like sunlight, remaing hungry, or any food stuff! any smell etc, and avoid them altogether. Apart for these drugs, you should take some god pain killer as soon as you develop headache. When one delays taking the painkiller for half an hour or more, the headache dosent respond completely and continue to linger...making things worse...

Get thyroid, ESR, blood counts, sugar levels, liver and kidney function test done to check other organs

I m sure that with the above said medicine sand precautions you will get rid of these headaches.

You donot seems to require a brain scan but from your question it looks like you are really concerned about it, so, you may get it done and get relieved for once and all!!

Hope the reply helps you
