Pain in stomach, eyes and body turning yellow. Ultrasound shows swollen lungs. Suggestions and treatment?

Good evening Dr's, I have a question my brother is suffering the pain in his stomach that it cause his body and eyes turn into yellowish, I advise him to go for check-up, which I thought he had a "GAL BLADDER PROBLEM" According to his family Dr. after the Ultrasound has been done, he did not fine any stone in his bladder, but he did find that my brother's lungs is kind of swollen. The Dr. don't know what's the cause of it. The Dr. advise him to go for a diagnose to make sure that he did not get a "HEPATITIS B" . THE RESULT COME BACK NEGATIVE.
Dr's, I would like to know or to hear from you, if you have any idea or answers in his problems...or any advise from you of what we should do about it.

I look forward to hear from you! Thank you very much.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Please do liver function tests to him.
If a stone is present in the common bile duct causing obstruction, then he will have jaundice.
Jaundice may be due to many causes.
It may be due to Hepatitis A /E/C infection.Get them tested too.
But,liver function tests will say whether he has jaundice or not.
If you come back with liver function tests(LFT) report,i will clarify further.
Wish him good health

Hi and welcome to HCM.
Dear Charlina. Yellowish eyes and skin is a sign which is called jaundice and it means that there is raised level of bilirubin in our blood. This isnt normal and the exact cause must be found. There are some serious and less serious conditions which can cause elevated bilirubin levels. This includes hepatitis, biliary obstruction, anemias, but also pancreatic and biliary tumors as well. He should do lab tests too see the type of hyperbilirubinemia after which some of imaging tests(US, CT scan or ERCP) should be performed.
Wish you good health.

Cardiologist Dr. Anantharamakrishnan's  Response
Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

Yellow discolouration of body is due to jaundice - raised bilirubin level.
He needs complete liver function tests.

There are several hepatic viruses, that can cause this.
There are several other diseases that can affect the liver and cause this..

Alcoholic? Drugs? - You have not stated your personal habits, family history or co-morbidities, even age, gender...they could have an influence on the diagnosis and outcome...

You say the lung is swollen? Mistake? Is it the LIVER?

He must consult a Hepatologist - earlier, the better.

Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
