Pain In Left Wrist, Redness On Underside Of Wrist. Treatment?

Hi, I was being overzealous and lifted my oven with my left hand while cleaning under it with my right. When I put the oven down, I had pain in my left wrist . There was a small reddish area on the underside of my wrist and it hurts to bend my wrist back and hold things in my hand. A twisting motion is painful as well. I put ice on it and now have an ace bandage on it. Is there anything else I should do?

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
It seems that you have sprained your wrist due to the overuse.
Apart from applying an ace bandage and icing the area, you can also take a mild pain killer like ibuprofen orally and apply a local analgesic gel on the area for symptomatic relief.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
