Pain In Left Tonsil While Yawning And Moving The Tongue, Mild Swelling, Swollen Lymph Nodes In Neck. No Help From Antibiotics. Help

Hello doctors! Myself ishita. and i am from India. recently I am suffering from tonsil problem very badly. My left tonsil hurts very badly. I cant take yawn properly it hurts. even when i move my tongue or eat sumthing it hurts badly. but only the left side. from outside my throat is little swallowed on left side. even now my ear is also hurting... therefore on the right neck i am having 3 lymph nodes swollen. I already have consulted with doctor. he has suggested me to take antibiotics. name is indclav 625 from last 3 days. bt no improvement is there till nw. before this medicine i have taken roksitromicin antibiotic. that time i had fever but now i dont have fever bt i am suffering from more than 10 days. i cant go to my work. and i am getting frustrated by sitting over the home. bt i am literally feeling very weak from inside. Please help me in this condition. please.

Thank you for choosing HCM.As there is only unilateral tonsillitis there are chances of having peritonsillar abscess as the possible cause but you will get the cavity behind or above the tonsills.You need to be treated with antibiotics for that.INDCLAV is a higher antibiotic and it might help you but if it is pencillin resistant then you need to take erithromycin or azithromycin.You can also take over the counter painkillers like acetaminophen or ibuprofen.Drink plenty of water and hydrate yourself.Gargling is important and warm water with salt is good for it.And incase if it is peritonsillar abscess then your doctor may sometimes drain the pus too.Thank you.
