Pain In Left Edge Muscle Of Knee On Jogging. Help From Ice Pack. History Of Missing Left Foot In Hidden Pits On Grass While Jogging. Suggest
Hello Doctor - I am a regular jogger. I guess that few weeks before when i was jogging in the park ( Those were my very first days to jog in a park) i missed my left foot in hidden pits in the grass many times for many days . I am feeling some kind of pain in the left edge muscle of my left knee, However its not severe and its on and off itself. Most of the times i dont feel it but when i start jogging on a track, after 5 mins it starts again. when i put some ice pack, i guess it helps. Shall i stop jogging now ? for how long or any other suggestions. best regards - karan
Hello, When there is activity in our body our muscle will contract and which causes some pain as it is your first time. In your case the problem may be due to weight and I dont think so there is any need of rest. But if you want you can take rest for a week and try jogging again. For now its a normal phenomenon and you no need to worry about it much.Thank you.
Your pain in knee looks to be a muscle sprain, which comes up only on doing that particular activity like jogging, rest of times you are pretty normal,
I advise you to give rest from jogging for a week time and use ice over sore muscle. No need to take any medicines.
After a week or so, before you start your exercise, always do lots of warm up activities and then start jogging.
I hope this was some help to you,
Regards,
Dr Merchant
