Pain In Knee When Sitting Or Climbing Stairs. X-ray Normal. Problem?

I got problem in my knee during gym I was doing lunges at that time I got pain in my knee. After 3 months I still have pain when sit on my knee or when go to stairs. Pls help me I checked up with Dr. they check X-ray of my knee there was nothing they told me some exercise to do, I did that exercise for several months but my problem is still there....could you please help me.

Pain in your knee most likely to be mechenical in nature. Could be due to muscle spasm or chondromalacia patellae. Doing knee strengthening exercises to be helpful.You can take anti-inflammatory drug like motrin to reduce pain and inflammation.
