Pain In Eye, Discharge, Light Sensitive. Slept With Contact Lens On

Hi! Early morning on Thursday at like 5am I awoke to a little pain in my eye. I got up and took my contacts out...I wasn't supposed to wear them overnight but I do. Starting immediately after, I have a stabbing pain and liquid has been coming out. It seems light sensitive. Sometimes it hurts less, but it keeps coming back.

it seems that minor corneal abrasions might have occured-you need to be examined by contact lens specialist....till then you can put lubricatibg drops like refresh tears 6 times a day...is safe to be used over lenses..other reason can be dryness because of overnight wear- same drops can be continued. I strictly advice you not to wear lenses during sleep- abrasions, infection, defects leading to scarring can occur
