Over Masturbation, Difficulty Concentrating, Involuntary Masturbation, Headaches, Red Eyes. Advise?

Hi doctor,

I am a 24 year old male. I have been suffering from over masturbation for the past 4-5 years. It has created havoc in my life. I was a good student but now I am finding difficulty concentrating in my work. Apart from this my head feels heavy with redness in my eyes and I feel really tired and overworked everytime I masturbate. And it takes 4-5 days to get back to normal after a good amount of sleep everyday.
With some hard work and changing my outlook I have been able to bring this habit down.

Apart from this I am now facing rather an unusual problem of involuntary masturbation at night which leads to the same cycle of headaches with red eyes (and feeling really tired). This is not under my control at all, I would never do this when I am awake and in my senses.

I really need your help on this. It's ruining my life and everything.

Thanks a lot for your time.

Hello
Thanks for your query.Based on the facts that you have posted it appears that
You have been indulged in masturbation since last 5 years and now facing problems related to sexual activities.
First of all there is myth in a mind of common man that excessive masturbation is the reason of all sexual problems But I would like to state that it has been discussed in scientific forums all over the world and proved scienificaly that masturbation does not have any negative effect on any organ or system in the body. All the problems that you are facing now are mind related and due to anxiety.
What you claim as a involuntary masturbation is a night emission.
Following measures will help to boost up your level of confidence and allay anxiety and there by improve your performance and concentration.
1) Practice moderate exercise for 45 minutes followed by meditation for 1/2 hour.
2) Take high protein diet rich in vitamins A,C,E,D.fruits and vegetables .
3) Avoid alcohol and smoking .
4)Take some anti oxidants like Almonds 5-6 everyday..
Please consult qualified Psychiatrist for counselling.
