Onycholysis, Toe Discoloration, Clear Fluid Out Of Right Toe. Healing Time?

so i think i have onycholysis, due to my sung gym shoes. my two big toes have had white discolorations along the free edge area of my nails. Ive been keeping my nails super short, but contiued wearing the shoes. my right one, has been very painful, so i cut the nail as far as the wite went down. a smelly clear fluid ran out of the right toe, and when i push on the nail, it sounds like water underneath!!! *yuck* it still hurts, but will my toenails heal on their own now? im NOT wearing those shoes ever again! should i wait it out? if i see my doctor, they cant get me in for a month! :(

Hello,
You seem to be having acute infection of the nail folds. It could be secondary to the fungal infection you might have had initially.
You need to take a course of antibiotics . You could also get a scraping done to look for fungus followed by a course of antifungals.
Do not wear tight fitting shoes.
Do not cut the nail too close to the nail fold as it can lead to ingrown toe nails.
Keep area as dry as possible.
Hope this helped.
Take care.
